Welsh twins Carys and Cashian Cadogan, Cash and Carry, are recruited by a miniature dragon, Pythagoras von Drachenstein of the House of Hydra, to return to the fifth century where they play major roles in bringing King Arthur and Merlin, properly known as Myrddin, to Camelot. Carey must meet and defeat a Donestre, while Cash brings about the downfall of the Saxon king and takes part in the final battle that leads to the formation of the Knights of the Round Table.
